Many of Daybreak's residents have faced homelessness as a result of life crises they couldn't resolve on their own. Your donation will make a substantial difference in their lives.

Our supportive housing model is based on meeting the needs of our residents-they pay rent geared to income and have access to professional staff for support. However, this means our rental income is not sufficient to meet the combined costs of staff salaries and operating our homes, including heat, utilities and maintenance. Even with government support, we face an annual shortfall of between $80,000 and $100,000. Only through private donations are we able to make ends meet each year.

With a donation of $25 or more you can become a member. Members have the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting and will be sent Daybreak's newsletter twice a year. Download and print our membership form, and send it to us with your donation by mail.

When you choose to donate a gift of securities, you benefit too. There is no capital gains tax on gifts of this nature, and Daybreak will send you a tax receipt for the fair market value of these shares. Consult your investment professional for details.
